Trip Overview. We spent a few days at the Cook Forest State Park in PA and took a day trip with our Old Town Guide canoe on the Clarion River. I would say that the majority of the river was passable but in a few spots the water level was too low for us to paddle through at this time of year. It was still a very enjoyable trip.
